The Whiskey Widow, January 2 2023

New year. One thing.

I used to love making resolutions, goals, lists of things to accomplish in a new year.

As a grieving, single-parent I don’t need that kind of pressure.

I don’t want a list that overwhelms and eventually falls by the wayside.

This year I’m picking one thing.

 One thing in 2023.

To give some effort to, to improve upon.

I often feel the weight of knowing I’m the only one here to guide my children through daily life. That the duty to impart wisdom, levity, advice and practicality into their lives now falls primarily on me.

Hello inadequate.

I’m looking for 12 books on different topics that relate to parenting to read this year with the goal of reading one book a month.

12 books to help with parenting in 2023. That’s my one thing.

I’ve got a few ideas in mind regarding money and finances, mental health and, of course, grief.

Parenting teens, raising kids who know God, so many topics to choose from and so many things I need to learn in order to be a better parent.

What’s your one thing in 2023?

Also, what books should be on my list?

Email me!
